Hamas accuses Israel of violating Gaza ceasefire

Gaza City: Hamas accused Israel of breaching a Gaza ceasefire just hours after it began on Friday, after the Jewish state held militants reponsible for renewed fighting.

"It is the occupation which violated the ceasefire. The Palestinian resistance acted based on... the right to self defence (and) to stop the massacres of our people," Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhum said in a statement.
