Amit Shah visit to ready party for local elections
Main purpose of visit is to ready party for local bodies' election: BJP state chief
Thiruvananthapuram: BJP State chief V. Muraleedharan informed that BJP national President Amit Shah will address a brain storming session with the State leadership apart from a public meeting. He told reporters here that a working draft on the imminent local bodies elections would soon be announced.
“The main purpose of the visit is to ready the party for the local bodies' election scheduled for next year. He has given the directive that celebrations should be avoided during his visit. We will discuss with the national President on including the Vizhinjam Transshipment Container Terminal in the Prime Minister 17 point program”, said Muraleedharan.
He said that the once the working draft is finalized it will be discussed with Shah when he will be here during Aug 30-31. Muraleedharan also opined that LDF and UDF should abstain themselves from making false statements against the BJP for withdrawing from the WTO treaty.
