Hyderabad airport to stop sale of entry tickets ahead of Independence Day
Visitors' entry tickets at the airport will be banned effective August 5 to August 20
Hyderabad: The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) here will stop selling entry tickets and issuing visitor passes from August 5 till August 20 due to security reasons, in view of the forthcoming Independence Day.
"Due to security reasons in view of the forthcoming Independence Day, the sale/issue of visitors' entry tickets and passes at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport will be banned effective August 5 to August 20, as per the directions of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security issued to all the Indian airports, including RGIA," a statement from RGIA said.
As part of its measures to beef up security during this period, passengers were requested to arrive well in advance of their flight timings at the airport at Shamshabad here.
All the passengers were further requested to cooperate with the security personnel at all the airport security check points, the statement on Sunday said.
