Priyanka Chopra wears a replica of Mary Kom's wedding gown in the biopic

Mumbai:Team Mary Kom has tried its best to keep the film as realistic as possible and in its efforts to do so, Priyanka Chopra will now be seen wearing the exact replica of the gown that Mary Kom had worn for her own wedding to Onler Kom.

Talking about the same, its director Omung said, “We wanted it to be as authentic as possible and we knew that we had to shoot the wedding scene exactly the way Mary and Onler had in reality. I told my designer Rajat to get the exact material that Mary had used for her dress with the same motifs.” But when shooting started, there was a little difference, the veil was not the same.

“I sent my guys to the market to get the exact transparent veil. This delayed my shoot, because they weren’t getting the same one. But now if you compare the two gowns you won’t find any difference between the original and the one we’ve designed for Priyanka. Even the bouquet she’s holding is the same,” said Omung.
