Libya crisis: 42 malayali nurses to arrive today

The scheduled Emirates flight will land at the Cochin airport around 8.30 am

Kochi: A total of 42 Malayali nurses from strife-torn Libya are coming back to Cochin international airport via Tunisia and Dubai on Tuesday morning.

The scheduled Emirates flight will land at the Cochin airport around 8.30 am after departing from Dubai at local time 3.30 am. NORKA officials will receive the nurses at the airport.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, though was scheduled to receive them, is now understood to be abstaining from it. NORKA Minister K C Joseph’s arrival at the airport has not been confirmed yet. There will not be any special fast emigration clearance proceedings for the nurses, it’s understood.
