Windows 9 could be available for free

Mumbai: Windows XP and Windows 7 users might get Windows 9 for free. The revamped look of Windows 9 will include new 'Start Menu', in a recent build codename 'Threshold'.

Windows 9 will also come with 'Metro-style' apps pinned to its taskbar. Windows 9 will be 64-bit and compatible to Xbox apps. PC Advisor also reported that Kinect-based 3D gestures to be enabled for laptops with 3D cameras. You might soon be able to control your computer with gestures.

Microsoft is expected to ship Windows 'Threshold' in early 2015.
