Will Arjun Rampal star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Bajirao Mastani'?

Mumbai: Arjun Rampal, who has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately, can finally heave a sigh of relief. On the personal front he was at the receiving end of rumours about causing rifts between Hrithik and and Sussanne Roshan’s marriage. Professionally, the news about the indefinite delay of his film Roy has been making headlines. But now the actor has a reason to celebrate.

Buzz is that Arjun has been roped in to play a pivotal role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Bajirao Mastani. Not too long ago, the actor was seen in the filmmaker’s office a few times. Currently, Arjun doesn’t have any new big film. Being a part of SLB’s film will certainly do wonders to this lean phase in his career.

“The lead actors, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra have already been finalised. Even for a cameo, Sanjay Bhansali is going all out to ensure that he has the perfect cast,” says our source. But about Arjun’s involvement in the project, in spite of the rumours, no official announcement has been made yet. We hear the actor is waiting for Bhansali to be the one to break the news.

Rumour has it that Bajirao Mastani, with its high production value and big names, has already gone over-budget. “This film is Sanjay’s dream project. It has to live up to the expectations and hype that has been created around it over the years,” says a source close to the filmmaker.
