Stir against contract staff regularisation

Hyderabad: Tense situation prevailed at the Osmania University as students continued their protest against the regularisation of the contract employees.

Many students, who wanted to hold a protest at the Tarnaka junction, were stopped by the police and taken into custody. Few students, who managed to escape the arrest, went to the RTC crossroads and pelted stones there. Police rushed to the spot to control the situation there. Eight students were arrested and were released later.
