KSRTC bloggers’ application to track Bengaluru services
Users can find service timing, class, rates and boarding points
Thiruvananthapuram: The team behind the KSRTC blog has developed Aanavandi, an app that allows users to search for details of KSRTC buses that originate or terminate in Bengaluru.
Aanavandi is the nickname of Kerala State Road Transport Corporation buses. Lijo Cheeran Jose, one of the persons behind the KSRTC blog, told Deccan Chronicle that it was an unofficial, free app meant for the convenience of users who want to travel to and fro Bengaluru from Kerala. This app is exclusively for non-profit and informational purposes.
Users can search for details like service available, type or class of services and boarding and dropping points and fares. However, users have to confirm and reserve their journey at the KSRTC portal, Jose said.
The blog was developed by M.L.Vaisakh for Team KSRTC Blog (www.ksrtcblog.com) and the logo designed by Jos F. Scaria, Santhosh Antony and Nevin Jose. The app was published in Google play by a team comprising Vaishak, Nevin Jose, Ajeesh Sopanam and Sreekumar, said Jose.
The app is currently on its beta version and more details about the KSRTC will be updated soon.
The team comprising experts in internet marketing has also identified four major problems for the services to Bengaluru.
One is the improper timings. Most of the buses started from the departure stations too early and reached Bengaluru at odd times.
The second is inefficient and improper advance reservation portal. The third is the lack of blankets for those travelling in AC buses. The last is the high fare compared to Karnataka RTC, Jose said.
