ONGC receives village's request for solar-powered streetlights

Rajahmundry: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has received requests for solar-powered streetlights for Angara village in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on August 11. "ONGC will deliver the facility on a priority basis, once procedural clearances are received and we get final approval from headquarters," ONGC Rajahmundry Asset Manager P Krishna Rao said, in a release issued on August 11. Presiding over the inauguration of a reverse osmosis plant under ONGC's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative at Angara village, he said that the company's policy is to improve human development index in its operational areas.
