BJP chief Amit Shah eyes young leaders for A-Team
Ram Madhav, deputed from RSS to BJP, could be asked to coordinate with the centre
New Delhi: As new BJP president Amit Shah begins the task of strengthening the organisation and expanding its reach, it is expected that he may include young leaders to assist him in the team.
Team Shah is expected to include first-time MP and the late Pramod Mahajan’s daughter Poonam Mahajan, Saharanpur MP Raghav Lakhanpal and Maharashtra unit chief Devendra Fadnavis. The party’s youth wing chief Anurag Thakur is also likely to be part of this team.
Speculation is rife that Mr Lakhanpal could succeed Mr Thakur while Ms Mahajan, who is currently the party’s national secretary, could succeed Saroj Pandey, who could be accommodated in Mr Shah’s team.
Sources said that Ram Madhav, who was deputed from the RSS to the BJP, could be asked to coordinate between the party and the government. Varun Gandhi, and Rajiv Pratap Rudy could also find spots in the team.
