Hyderabad: All the 10 MPs from the TRS are determined to create pandemonium in Lok Sabha on Monday over the Centre granting special powers to the Telangana Governor.

In their effort to raise the issue, the JD(U), Trinamul and the BJD MPs also promised to support the cause.

Telangana  Chief Minister and TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday evening held a meeting with all the party MPs and asked them to stall Lok Sabha proceedings on the issue.

“Mr Rao informed us that he had already talked to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee seeking their support against the Centre’s move to  grant special powers to the Governor and they have also agreed to support our cause,”  said TRS floor leader in Lok Sabha A.P. Jitender Reddy after the meeting.

He said Mr Rao is  also trying to speak to his Tamil Nadu counterpart J. Jayalalithaa on the issue to seek  the support of the AIADMK.

He said that the TRS will go to any extent to halt the Centre’s move.

He also said  the party will move an adjournment motion on Monday in Lok Sabha.

In Sunday’s meeting   Mr Rao informed the MPs about convening a Chief Ministers’ conference on the issue of granting special powers to the Governor, bypassing the duly elected state government dealing with law and order subject.

“It is everybody’s knowledge that law and order is a state subject but it is being infringed by the Central government in our case” said Mr  Reddy.

TRS MPs will also meet the PM and home minister to convey their protest.
