Chandrababu Naidu asked to leave Hyderabad
'It is time that Naidu and his ministers leave Hyderabad and functioned from their state'
Hyderabad: Telangana state transport minister P. Mahender Reddy on Monday took strong exception to criticism of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrbabau Naidu and his ministers.
He said it was time that Mr Naidu and his ministers left Hyderabad and functioned from their state. “Telugu Desam is finished in Telangana. If they continue to indulge in unwarranted interference in Telangana affairs and criticise our Chief Minister, we will give a strong reply. Mr Naidu and his team should leave Hyderabad and take care of their state. They cannot live here and criticise our CM day in and day out,” he said.
Asserting that demolition of illegal structures would continue, he said it was surprising that some Telugu Desam leaders of Telangana were still backing Mr Chandrababu Naidu. “Mr Naidu is jealous of KCR garu. He has no right to live in Telangana criticising our CM. Telangana Telugu Desam leaders should understand that Telugu Desam is an Andhra party and Mr Naidu is the Andhra CM. I don’t know why Mr Dayakar Rao is still hanging around him. Mr Naidu has no respect for Telangana leaders,” he said.
He added that the Telangana government had no objections if Mr Naidu developed Andhra Pradesh like Singapore or Malaysia, but he should not interfere in Telangana affairs.
Justifying the socio economic survey proposed by Telangana government on August 19 in a single day, he reminded that Turkey had conducted a survey by clamping a curfew.
"Why are they scared of the survey? It is basically aimed to ascertain the socio economic status of a person. It’s our state and we will conduct the survey. Telugu Desam leaders should stop creating problems for Telangana people," he added.
