Hyderabad:Cyberabad police told owners of the Playboy pub at Novotel in Madhapur to change the pub’s name in order to avoid objection from right wing groups. Cyberabad police commissioner C.V. Anand on Tuesday said, “The police department told owners to change the name of Playboy pub so that it does not give any scope for objections.”
The Cyberabad police also ordered the owners not to employ women as bunnies, waitresses, hostesses, and teasers. The order, which has been issued under Cyberabad (metropolitan area) police act 2004, also stated that the there shall be no use women, in any attire, to serve food or liquor to the customers. The new order came following a protest by a right wing group near the club two days ago.
Mr C.V Anand said that the Cyberabad police granted license to the club on 31st of May after they agreed to abide by the 21 conditions laid down by the department. The club management officials said that they would function according to Indian sensibilities.
