New Delhi: The Trinamool MPs, went ahead and installed their nameplates and also conducted a meeting inside the room. After coming to know of the incident, TD MPs re-installed the nameplates of their leaders in Room No. 5 within 30 minutes of the incident. Meanwhile, after awarding the Best Parliamentarian awards, President  Pranab Mukherjee admonished the leaders without mentioning the incident. “Please, for God’s sake, except you nobody can do it. It is our responsibility to uphold the prestige, dignity and honour of this great institution.”

“We haven’t acquired the room forcefully. We have been allotted the room by the LS Secretariat,” said Mr Bandyopadhyay after the incident. However, TD leader  Y.S. Chowdary accused the Trinamul members for their “uncultured behaviour” and complained for this to the Speaker.
