Minority corporation to be split between Andhra Pradesh, Telangana

AP Minorities Corporation will be distributed on a 52:48 ratio

Hyderabad: Assets and liabilities of the AP Minorities Corporation will be distributed among Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states on a 52:48 ratio. A decision was taken in this regard at a high-level meeting on Wednesday.
 
Syed Omar Jaleel, special secretary of minorities welfare department of AP, Ahmed Nadeem, secretary to minorities welfare department of Telangana and M.J. Akbar, and SMD Iqbal, heads of the minorities commissionerates of both states have arrived at a consensus for distribution of the staff, assets and liabilities of the corporation.
 
Sources said that funds relating to the Centre-sponsored schemes will be distributed among both the states on a 48:52 ratio, the Telangana will be get 52 per cent of the funds as the Minorities population is high when compared to the Andhra Pradesh.
 
Sources pointed out that the decision will be informed to Chief Ministers and Chief Secretaries of t both the states and it will communicated to the Centre to issue orders for bifurcation of the AP State Minorities Corporation into two separate corporations for both the states.
