Hyderabad: The names of family members and address of households will be cross-checked with the database available with RTA and Stamps and Registration departments to find whether they match with the details declared by the households.
The TRS government is under tremendous pressure to fulfil it’s promise of providing double bedroom flats to every poor family below the poverty line.
It has become a daunting task for the Telangana government to build these flats as officials have estimated that the expenditure per flat would cross Rs 8 lakh in the city and Rs 6 lakh in rural areas with the steep increase in prices of cement, steel and other construction costs. The government thus wants to conduct a thorough scrutiny of each and every household to ensure that only genuine people get the benefit, thereby reducing it’s financial burden.
Households owing vehicles, properties will be exempted from all kinds of government benefits. For that reason, even details such as electricity, water and property tax bills, vehicle RC etc. are being sought as part of the survey to identify the owners.
