My most memory Independence day was in school when I was in the 10th standard because that was the last time when we got together in the school uniform with all school friends to do the Independence day celebrations. We use to do flag hoisting and sing the national anthem .I miss those times pure and memorable.
Shashank Vyas
Most memorable one was in school when we used to go for flag hoisting on 15th August. Independence day means mind and soul free from negative thoughts. Presenting yourself as you are and not pretending anything. Free from orthodox rules made by society.
Gunjan Utreja
Most memorable one was when I was the captain of the parade in school on 15th August and I felt proud of my country. Independence to me means equality in everything. The day we stop discrimination amongst people that's when we will be truly independent.
Vahbiz Dorabajee
My most memorable Independence day was in school when we all use to perform. I love performing. And we danced on a song from Hindustani and we use to have flag hoisting in the morning. The song was pyaare panchi baangon mein. And once we also performed on Vande Matram I remember. Independence means loving what you do and doing what you love.

Azadi Ka din Bahut Kareeb hai mere liye. Since school time I was in scouting. So feel of patriotism is in my blood . It means a lot. School days Independence Day celebrations are most memorable . Cultural activities, mono acting and all used to be attraction. Desh humara hai. Sharad pe Aaj Bhi ladai ladi ja rahi hai. Unko salaam desh ko salaam. Independence means standing for what is right.
Rishina Kandhari
My most memorable Independence Day was in Indore in my school days. Giving your daughter the best education, teaching them good values and self- defense , making them independent in this competitive world and the world free of domestic violence, sex selective abortion, female infanticide is freedom for me ! The most memorable Independence Day was when I hoisted the flag as Vice President of Leo club in front of more than 2000 people in Indore. Independence means living up to your values and principles.
Adhvik Mahajan
Most memorable independence day was in 2008 when I decided to come to Mumbai from my hometown Jalandhar to chase my dreams on my own. Being independent means the right to take my own decisions right or wrong, achieve anything and everything possible that I have dreamed of, enjoy life and learn every day, all in all live life on my own terms and at the same time be thankful and responsible towards the society and our nation that gave you the Right to Independence!
Ankit Gera
Most memorable Independence Day was during my school day. We fly kites on Independence Day and once I was trying catch the kite and I fell down from terrace. I couldn't go to school for one week.
Roopal Tyagi
My most memorable Independence day was in my school. When while singing a patriotic song. Which just started like any other, we girls in the chorus actually had tears in our eyes and goose bumps. Being independent means everything to me. Because that's what makes us truly who we are. In a restricted environment we can’t be ourselves. That's the main purpose of life. To be who you are and do what you love.

My most memorable Independence day was the sport day event at a renowned school in Delhi where I was a Chief Choreographer. It was a massive project to prepare a choreography during Delhi summers in the school ground with 1200+ kids. But it was extremely interesting period, lot of hardwork, team effort & everyone around with full of energy throughout that period. During the Independence day celebration, all kids came out with flying colours and hard work paid off. During my school days it was more of a family affair or close friends, we used to go for picnic or for kite flying and sing / listen to patriotic songs. As Kite Flying symbolizes Independence Day with with countless kites specially the tricolor ones flown in the sky, it symbolizes of free spirit of India.
Sneha Wagh
My most memorable Independence day was when I used to go for flag hoisting ceremony in school. The tri color flag, hearing patriotic songs and even singing them used to be great. Independence means doing what you want to and standing for what is right.
Siddhant Karncik
In college I was my house captain.. We were doing a march past and had to salute the chief guest along with the others.. The chief guest had to salute us back.. A very normal done thing.. Except that day the chief guest was Brigadier Mahesh N Karnick, my Father . Independence means the freedom to live in a society where the only limitation.. Is yourself. And that I get 'in my India'.
Rohit Bhardwaj
Memorable Independence day for me eight years back when my whole family and friends fly kites together on 15th of August in delhi.. Equality between poor and rich , men and women, and right to speak, information. Is Independence for me and most important when we judge people by their acts rather than their religion.
Sahil Phull
It is important to celebrate it each year and remember the sacrifice of our great leaders. Because of them we have our freedom. I salute our troops and finally say, with heavy heart, that Independence Day and Veterans Day are important to remind ourselves that someone, or may be more, out there on this day lost his/her life for us. The memorable Independence day for me was my engineering college last year when all the friends in our group was wearing the T- shirt of The great Indian flag and we all gave speech to our juniors about the importance of this special day..I am very lucky and proud to be a part of India.
Krishna Bisth
The most memorable independence day was in college when I went to see India Gate Parade with friends. It was an awesome feeling to see soldiers marching in perfect synchronization. Independence means having a career of your choice and making not only yourself happy but also bringing happiness in other people lives.
