Coimbatore: Taxi drivers, led by the CITU, staged a demonstration in the city on Thursday, urging the Central government to withdraw the fuel price hike. Around 25 taxi drivers, including van and tempo drivers, staged a demonstration in front of Tamil Nadu hotel in Gandhipuram, on Thursday, urging the Central government to control the fuel prices.
 
They raised slogans against the government for not controlling diesel and petrol prices which affect their life by eating into their profit. They urged the state government to cut taxes and reduce the fuel price in Tamil Nadu.
