Speaker confirms capital will be in Vijayawada city

VIJAYAWADA: Municipal administration minister P. Narayana inspected the Medha IT towers at Gannavaram, the venue of AP’s temporary capital. He said the capital would be shifted to Vijayawada within three months. He said they are inspecting buildings in Vijayawada and Guntur to shift offices.

Meanwhile, Speaker Kodela Shivaprasada Rao made it clear that the capital would be located at Vijayawada. Participating in the inauguration of a hospital here on Saturday, he said offices will be shifted in a phased manner.
