kochi: Kerala high court on Monday termed the decision of the cabinet sub-committee to sanction new Plus-Two schools bypassing the list recommended by the six-member committee headed by the Higher Secondary Education director as a “bolt from the blue” and said that only the schools recommended by the six-member committee can start Plus-Two courses and additional batches this year.
The interim order passed by Justice P.R. Ramachandra Menon also asked the director to give provisional sanction for the schools to function forthwith. Advocate-General K.P. Dandapani submitted that the decision to allot new schools was taken some time between June 10 and 19 and that the same could be revealed from the files.
