Salman Khan prefers Sonam Kapoor over Sonakshi Sinha

Mumbai: The shoot of Sooraj Barjatya’s film Prem Ratan Paayo has already started. It’s a known fact that several top rung actresses were vying for this one until Sonam Kapoor got lucky. Buzz is that the original choice of the film was Sonakshi Sinha. Apparently, the latter’s name was dropped unceremoniously after Salman Khan recommended Sonam for the role. It seems Sona got to know about Salman’s involvement in the issue much later.

“Sonakshi and Salman’s pairing on screen has hit the bull’s eye at the box office. It was hard for Sona to believe that her mentor chose Sonam over her,” says a close source. A certain section of the trade feels that it’s only fair on Salman’s part to want to work with other actors. “He wanted a fresh pair for the film and it’s totally his call who he wants to work with,” says a source close to Khan.

According to insiders, Salman’s good friend, Anil Kapoor was instrumental in getting his daughter roped in for the film. And now it seems the two actresses are at daggers drawn. Apparently, Sona and Sonam have started avoiding and ignoring each other at various events. Is this another catfight waiting to happen?
