Mumbai: Google is presently working on developing new versions of Gmail and YouTube for kids below 13 years of age. New Gmail and YouTube accounts for your kid will be much more interactive and keep a record of the information he/she has come across on being online.

According to WSJ, Google will first roll out its child version of its online video site YouTube for tablets. This in turn will help parents control online content.

This also follows the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, or COPPA. The law imposes strict limits on how information about children under 13 is collected; it requires parents’ consent and tightly controls how that data can be used for advertising.
