Hyderabad:The YSR Congress has called the Budget presented by AP finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu “anti-people” and said the government was trying to fool the people of the state.
YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the government has been talking of building a capital on par with Singapore, but there was not a word about it in the Budget.
“I am not for or against any place to be chosen as the capital. All I have been saying is that the capital should have 30,000 acres of government land within a radius of six kilometres,” he added expressing his acceptance for Vijayawada.
“They said the highest priority will be given to the youth of the state, but there is no mention of it. It is an anti-people Budget and not a constructive one,” said YSRC legislator Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy.
Opposition leaders also said the government was fooling around with people. YSRC lawmaker Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy said, “The Budget is for over Rs 1 lakh crore. But the plan is only for Rs 26,673 crore and non-plan is Rs 85,151 crore.
Ruling party members, however, said it was a complete Budget, ensuring out justice to every sector. Reacting to Jagan’s comment, Mr Naidu said, “Jagan knows nothing of Budget. He is elected to the Assembly for the first time. First, he should learn about Budget.”
