Hyderabad:The police has booked the in-charge of Verocity Educational Services in Malakpet for allegedly duping around 250 persons. Police said the agency had collected huge amounts from students promising to send them Canada for higher studies.
The victims who realised that they were duped approached the police. The cops issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) to trace the accused. Inspector N. Satyanarayana said the culprit Mohammed Abdul Moiz, 40, collected about Rs 1.5 lakh each from around 250 students. He later demanded more money saying that due to the change in government and policy in the UK, the fee has increased.
“We suspect the accused fled to Saudi Arabia and issued a LOC to track him at airports,” added Mr Satyanarayana.
