Law and order situation of Andhra Pradesh is peaceful, claims Chandrababu Naidu

83 underground Maoist cadres are operating in AP

Hyderabad: While claiming that the overall law and order situation in the state is peaceful, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said there are 83 underground Maoist cadres, of whom about 61 are operating in the state, while the remaining operate from Chhattisgarh and other states.

During the discussion in the Assembly, the CM said that in 2014, Maoists had committed six offences, including one murder as against 18 offences, including four murders in 2013. Vigil will be stronger to check Maoists activities, he said
