Hyderabad: BJP national president Amit Shah on Friday assured that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, would fulfil every need of the people of Telangana and extend full support to the state to accelerate development.
Asking the party cadre to strive for Mr Modi’s desire of a Congress-free country, he said that the BJP should come to power in Telangana and other states, adding that the party would now focus on Assam, West Bengal, Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
“We should see Telangana developed on the lines of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan (BJP ruled states). The Centre will extend full support in this task. Every need of Telangana people will be fulfilled,” he remarked.
Winding up his two-day tour of Hyderabad with an address to party village-level leaders at Saroornagar, Mr Shah asserted that only a BJP government could take on infiltrators, terrorists, anti-national elements and Naxalites.
He asked party leaders and workers to spread out to villages from November 1, understand people’s problems, take up issues and strengthen the party at the booth level to ensure victory.
Claiming credit for sanction of AIIMS in Telangana, he said the demand had come from BJP state president Mr G. Kishan Reddy and not from the Telangana government or other parties.
“Mr Narendra Modi sanctioned AIIMS, a horticulture university and a tribal university for Telangana since the state has a huge tribal population,” he said.
