New Delhi: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s  meeting with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi here following heckling by the Modi supporters at a function in Kaithal and Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan’s decision to skip the official function in Nagpur, is not going down well with the Congress party.

“Bhupinder Singh Hooda should have publically rejected the PM’s invitation after the humiliation while Prithviraj Chavan should have attended the official function in Nagpur alongwith supporters and thus foiled any attempt of his baiting,” a Congress official said.

“These are the old tactics of BJP and the Modi supporters,” he said adding  that they have been playing this game even against their rivals in the BJP.  Haryana and Maharashtra are going to the polls in the next couple of months. The public humiliation by the BJP workers in the presence of the PM in an official functions was a part of well planned strategy.
