'Finding Fanny' director Homi Adajania asked to cut off 'vulgar' line from film
The director will have to omit the line in the film if he wants a UA certificate
Mumbai: According to a recent report in a leading daily, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has issued to ‘Finding Fanny’ director Homi Adajania to discard a ‘vulgar’ line from the film where actress Deepika Padukone says, “I’m a virgin’.
The report also stated that Adajania in his response said that the word ‘virgin’ has previously been passed off in films like ‘Dil Se’ and ‘2 States’.
The director will have to omit the line in the film if he wants a UA certificate.
The report also stated that the officer who watched the film and called for the deletion of the word ‘virgin’ is not the right person to judge cinema. He claims to be Personal Secretary to CEO (Rakesh Kumar) but is Personal Assistant to the Chairperson (Leela Samson)
But the officer retorted saying he was not the only person present at the screening and he was accompanied by a committee, who took the call unanimously.
