Centre gets handloom weavers join flipkart

New Delhi: The handloom weavers in the country are going to get the boost of e-commerce which is gaining popularity in India. Textiles ministry on Monday signed a pact with Flipkart to provide an online marketing platform to handloom weavers across the country to boost the handloom sector and empower the weavers. Flipkart will provide weavers  in India online  marketing platform, infrastructural support in data analytics and customer acquisition to help them get  remunerative  prices for their  products and scale up  their business. Textile ministry said that the  data analytics provided by Flipkart will help the  weavers  focus on  producing  better products.
