Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa asks Centre to be cautious on tax-consessions

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa advised the Centre to be cautious before providing areas based on tax-consessions in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana State.

“Any extension of such area based concessions to Andhra Pradesh or Telangana will cause a huge flight of capital and relocation of industries in particular from neighbouring states. It would also make the neighbouring states totally uncompetitive,” Ms Jayalalithaa said.
