RSS chief to hold talks with various leaders, including religious heads during visit

Thiruvananthapuram: RSS chief Mohan Bhagawat will visit the state for a week from Tuesday and hold talks with various leaders, including religious heads. He will arrive in Kochi and hold organisational meetings at  Thodupuzha and Thiruvananthapuram. RSS state secretary and Prantha Karyavahak P.  Gopalankutty Master told DC that the names of those who will meet him were yet to be finalised.  At Thodupuzha, he will meet feeder organisational representatives on Wednesday. In the evening, around 5000 RSS workers belonging to Thodupuzha and Vannapuram,  two RSS taluks in Idukki district,  will attend the meeting.
 
“The RSS chief has expressed his desire to strengthen our presence in Idukki.  On August 28, he will hold a meeting with all shakha units in Kattapana revenue district which will be attended by the  representatives of RSS from mandalam, taluk and district,”   Gopalankutty Master told DC.
 
On August 29,  sanghachalaks (presidents) belonging to 200 taluks will call on the leader. The same evening, 20 prominent leaders belonging to religious groups, businessmen and farmers will meet him.  On 30th, he will leave for Kottayam and  chair the meet of 55 RSS  leaders belonging to Kerala and Tamil Nadu. On August 31 he will attend a  programme at Vellimala Ashram at Kanyakumari and return to  Thiruvananthapuram the same evening.
 
“In the capital, he will meet prominent people from various fields and  leave for Nagpur on September 1,”  Gopalankutty Master said.
