Hyderabad: After sweating through days of scorching heat and extreme humidity, Hyderabad was drenched with 43.5 mm of rain on Tuesday. The day began pleasantly enough with a thick cloud cover over the entire city. The maximum dipped to 32.8ºC. It began pouring soon enough.
The pleasure, however, was tempered by water stagnation on the roads and slow-moving traffic on key roads. More rain is forecast for Wednesday and the maximum temperature would be around 33ºC and the minimum 24ºC.
Residents of low-lying areas, however, struggled their way through stagnant rain water.
