Kyocera Brigadier features a 4.5-inch IPS HD display with Sapphire Shield
Mumbai: Kyocera has rolled out its new Android smartphone – Brigadier, which claims to be scratchproof. Keys and coins in pockets and purses can wreak havoc on our smartphones, so this scratchproof handset can just be helpful for you.
Brigadier features a 4.5-inch IPS HD capacitive touchscreen display made from high-quality sapphire. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1.4GHz quad-core CPU and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. Brigadier sports a 8-megapixel rear shooter and 2-megapixel front camera.
Brigadier is also IP68 certified for dust-tight protection, as well as protection against water immersion for up to 30 minutes at a depth of up to 6 feet (1.8 meters). The company claims that Brigadier is built using Glove and Wet touchscreen Operation technology. You can make or take a call, take pictures and activate the built in flashlight while wearing gloves or when the screen is wet.
A Dura Grid widget allows easy access to key apps such as GPS, Barometer, and essentially any app shortcut. Brigadier also ensures clear audio in even the noisiest environments with loud, dual front speakers. The handset is fuelled with 3100-mAh battery.
At present, you can buy the scratchproof Kyocera Brigadier smartphone only on Verizon.
