Chennai: Madurai police on Wednesday registered a case against former DMK union minister M.K. Alagiri in connection with an alleged landgrab incident. Alagiri is accused of grabbing 44 cents of wetland belonging to a Vinayaka temple adjacent to Dhaya College of Engineering at Sivarakottai. The temple comes under the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments and the police have decided to register the case based on a complaint from a HR&CE official.
