New Delhi: Supreme Court refused to restrain CBI from filing charge sheet against Dayanidhi Maran in Aircel-Maxis deal on Thursday.

Earlier, the former telecommunication minister Dayanidhi Maran had requested the Supreme Court to restrain the CBI from filing chargesheet against him in the Aircel-Maxis deal. The investigation is yet to be completed for this deal.

Maran has contended that as per the law, CBI has yet not completed the investigation, therefore, a chargesheet cannot be filed.

The Supreme court bench was headed by Justice H.L. Dattu after it was mentioned by senior counsel C.A. Sundaram and Amrendra Sharan.
