Meteorology Department predicts heavy rains in next 48 hours in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Hyderabad witnessed a second spell of heavy downpour this week with the city recording 16.6 mm of rainfall till 8.30 pm on Thursday. A heavy rainfall warning has been issued by the Met officials for the next 48 hours as well.
Many areas in the city received heavy rains with Malkajgiri recording 46.5 mm, Chilkalguda 42 mm, Narayanguda 40 mm and West Marredpally 34.2 mm of rainfall. Other areas including Nallakunta, Moula Ali, Liberty Circle etc. recorded between 20 mm and 30 mm of rainfall.
Most traffic junctions in the city were waterlogged and commuters faced a lot of inconvenience. The transportation of Ganesh idols was delayed due to rain and traffic, causing road block.
