Fresh tension in Muzaffarnagar, students beaten up
Police was informed and later rescued the boys and admitted them to a local hospital
Lucknow: Tension prevailed in Muzaffarnagar on Saturday after four students from one community were beaten up by a group of people in the Jat colony on Friday. The students had gone for tuition classes when a group of people accosted them and alleged that they were indulging in eve teasing. The group went on to beat the students.
The police was informed and later rescued the boys and admitted them to a local hospital. Irate protesters belonging to the boys' community then surrounded the police station, demanding action against those who had beaten up the boys. Police has registered a case against 150 people for the violence and named three of them. SP Sarvan Kumar said that some people tried to block the road.
