More rains likely to hit Telangana and Andhra Pradesh says, Metrological department

Visakhapatnam: The monsoon has been active over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Met officials said. The well-marked low-pressure area that was over North AP now lies over Vidarbha and adjoining south Chhattisgarh and Telangana. The upper air cyclonic circulation associated with the system extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level.

Going by this, the Indian Meteorological Department predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places over Telangana. Heavy rain may occur at one or two places in Mahbubnagar, Ranga Reddy, Medak, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Warangal of Telangana.

Heavy rainfall occurred in Ranga Reddy, Adilabad, and Nizamabad districts of Telangana, the weather office said. In Andhra Pradesh, rainfall was recorded in in Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, and East Godavari districts in the last 24 hours. Rain or thundershowers were also indicated over some places in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
