Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samiti won over two MLAs, three MLCs and a host of party leaders and workers from Khammam, Ranga Reddy, Nizamabad and other districts who joined the party on Monday.

Wyra (ST) YSR Congress MLA Madan Lal, Yellendu (ST) Congress MLA Koram Kanakaiah, MLCs Yadav Reddy, Rajeshwara Rao and Venkat Rao joined the TRS in the presence of Chief Minister K. Chandrase khar Rao at Telangana Bhavan.

TRS general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP K. Kesava Rao, Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, irrigation minister T. Harish Rao and other party leaders welcomed them into party fold.

Dr Kesava Rao said leaders from various parties were joining the TRS to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao in rebuilding ‘Navya Telangana’ and not for posts. “We welcome them who leheartedly to the party,” he said.

Mr Harish Rao said that their joining indicates the growing faith in the party and Mr Chandrasekhar Rao’s administration.

Welcoming the new entrants, Mr Narasimha Reddy said Telugu Desam would be totally wiped out in Khammam district.

“KCR’s policies and programmes have attracted all sections of people. As  promised, the Cabinet approved three acre land to Dalits. We will launch the loan waiver scheme on October 2,” he disclosed.
