CPM kannur faction terms incident unfortunate
Thiruvananthapuram: CPM general secretary Prakash Karat and party Kannur district secretariat on Tuesday said that the party had no role in the murder RSS leader Manoj.
He told media persons in Delhi that the party had no role in the incident and there was a deliberate move from the RSS to put the entire blame on the CPM.
He said that the party was being held responsible for the murder because of some ulterior motive.
Kannur district secretariat of CPM issued a statement denying any role RSS leader’s murder. It termed the incident as unfortunate.
It may be recalled that the district leadership of the party which held a meeting in Kannur on Monday had not issued any statement on the incident.
Meanwhile, RSS - BJP leaders have rejected the CPM statements disassociating from the murder.
RSS Prantha Karyavahak (state secretary) P. Gopalankutty Master said that the ghastly murdered was carried out with the full knowledge of the district and state leadership of the CPM.
The Marxists were jittery as a large number of their workers were joining the RSS in Kannur district, he said.
Former state president of BJP P.K. Krishna Das alleged that the murder was carried out with the blessings of national leadership.
During his recent visit to the state Prakash Karat had stated that the RSS should be stopped elsewhere emulating the Kannur model.
KPCC president V M Sudheeran also condemned the ghastly murder of RSS worker and called for peace.
