Andhra Pradesh government plans 8-circuit temple tour
A project report to connect all the temples is being prepared
Hyderabad: AP government is preparing a master plan to promote ‘temple tourism’ in the state. A detailed project report to connect all the temples and divide them into eight circuits is being prepared.
Temples like Pancharamas, Shakti Peethams, Narasimha Swamy Kshetrams, Hanuman temples among others will be connected under this project. “Mega tourism circuits will be developed in Krishna and Anantapur districts at a cost of Rs 100 crore of Central assistance.
In addition to that, new tourist circuits in Srikakulam, Guntur, sound and light show at Srikalahasti and beach resorts at Perupalem in West Godavari district will be developed,” said officials of the department. Endowments minister P. Manikyala Rao said the project report of temple tourism would be readied within three months.
