Hyderabad: The proposed capital city of Andhra Pradesh has been hit by muhurat trouble even before a formal announcement on its location is made.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who was supposed to make a statement on the all-important issue in the state Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, postponed it after being advised that it was an inauspicious day.

As a result, he is likely to make a formal announcement on the location of the capital city on the floor of the House only on Thursday, which coincides with Dasami, considered auspicious by the Telugu calendar.
