Chennai: The audio of Vijay Sethupathi and Kreshna starrer Vanmham was recently released in the presence of the whole cast and crew. Though there are two heroes, Sunaina is the sole female lead and she is paired opposite Kreshna. Sources add that it is about friendship and Sethu does not have a romantic interest. While Jay Krishna, who has waited 25 long years to make his debut, wields the megaphone, Thaman has scored the music.
Speaking at the event, Vijay Sethupathi said, “I have seen JK four years back when he used to accompany his friend Vinodh, who wanted to do a film with me. It got dropped. After Pizza, JK wanted to meet and narrate a story to me. I was a bit hesitant as he looked a bit old-fashioned. Anyway, I didn’t want to upset him and listened to his script in two parts. It was just amazing. The first thing that scared me was the Nagerkovil slang that was used in the entire film. I have heard that people in Nagerkovil speak loudly and I was apprehensive if I could handle that. I also told him that I needed a dialogue-reading session but couldn’t practice and went straight for shooting. Luckily it started with song sequence.”
In a lighter vein, he adds, “I am a bad dancer. He has made me dance in the film, which itself was a big task”. Sethupathi said that for some reason he thought Kreshna would have loads of attitude but actually found him just the opposite. “Kreshna was very jovial and made the entire set lively.”
