New Delhi: The BJP-Akali Dal MLA from Shahdara,  Jitendra Singh Shunty, 53, was allegedly shot at by an unidentified man wearing a helmet early on Wednesday morning at his residence. 
 
Luckily, Mr Shunty escaped unhurt. The assailant, who had come to the MLA’s house at 5.30 am the pretext of getting documents attested, fired four rounds at the BJP MLA. The entire incident was caught on CCTV.
 
Mr Shunty told the police that he could not identify the assailant as he was wearing a helmet.
 
“I don’t know who attacked me, but it is sure that the attack was fully planned,” he said.
