Art lovers pay tributes to Telugu icon Bapu
A meeting was organised to pay rich tribute to the symbol of telugu people

Visakhapatnam: Noted film actors, writers and art lovers and officials underlined that Bapu remains the pride symbol of Telugu people at global level forever and the legend will be influencing the Telugu race all over the world in spite of his physical existence.
Paying rich tributes to the departed legendary at the commemorative meeting organised by Vuda at Gurajada Kalakshetram on Wednesday, they said Bapu has left his footprints to be followed by generations to come in certain areas of human life, especially the Telugu people.
The in-charge vice-chairman of Vuda and GVMC commissioner M.V. Satyanarayana, noted film actor and writers Gollapudi Maruti Rao, Kasi Viswanath, Vankayala Satyanarayana Murthy, ‘Kallu’ Chidambaram, Vizag Prasad, cine director Satyasri, Visa-khapatnam Bar Asso-ciation president J. Prithviraj, VUDA secretary G.C. Kishore Kumar and others attended the programme.
Mr Satyanarayana, while praising the contribution of Bapu, said the legend is a brand ambassador for Telugu people. Bapu remains eternal as long as the Telugu script and language remain as one of the Telugu fonts is named after him as Bapu font. The creativity of Bapu in cartooning, movie-making, painting or any other area has become role model, the VC said.
Gollapudi Maruti Rao described Bapu as an encyclopedia and store house of versatility. Bapu has brought laurels to all those areas. He touched and purified them with his value-based patronage. The legendary is always worshipped as an ultimate Guru by artists and cartoonists for his unique nature of creation, Gollapudi opined.
