Sony rolls out waterproof smartwatch and fitness band
Sony SmartBand Talk and SmartWatch 3 launched at IFA 2014
Mumbai: Sony Mobile Communications has launched two new waterproof wearables, SmartBand Talk and SmartWatch 3 at IFA 2014. Both the wearables feature the Lifelog App.
SmartBand Talk
SmartBand Talk features a 1.4-inch e-paper curved display, which helps you to monitor Lifelog activity, view notifications and the time at a glance. SmartBand Talk also comes with a built-in microphone and speaker for a short call function.
Its built-in accelerometer and altimeter sensor technology can measure an accurate overview of your daily physical activity; whether it be walking, running or climbing. Sony SmartBand can easily monitor on how active you are and how you have been communicating, as it displays your information from your smartphone and then enables you to view it on its e-paper display screen, wherever and whenever you like.
The company claims that the SmartBand Talk is waterproof (IP68 rated) is presently available in black and white.
Sony SmartWatch 3
Sony’s SmartWatch 3 is an Android wearable device, which has been designed in collaboration with Google. SmartWatch 3 is powered with standalone functionality and includes 4GB of storage capacity.
The Android wearable device comes with a built-in microphone, and Accelerometer,Compass,Gyro and GPS sensor technology. SmartWatch 3 will be available in Classic black and Sport lime editions, with extra colour straps available in pink and white shades soon.
