RCA banks on ADJ Court's decision to end impasse with BCCI
Rajasthan Cricket Association has been suspended by BCCI
Jaipur: Suspended Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) is banking on the ADJ Court's verdict here on September 8 to end its impasse with the BCCI and hopes for a favourable decision which will clear the decks for its players to play in the upcoming domestic season.
The RCA has been suspended by BCCI and has been left out of next season's domestic calendar after banned Lalit Modi was elected as the state body's president.

"We have declared the calendar for the season because we believe that the court's decision would allow our teams to participate in BCCI tournaments," RCA secretary Sumendra Tiwari said.
"We have no other options other than to wait for the decision which is likely to come on September 8, the date of next Hearing. We believe the BCCI is on wrong foot and is confused regarding its own actions which has no legal sanctity. Everybody knows the apex court cleared the decks for former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi to fight Elections of RCA knowing that he was facing a life ban from the BCCI. It has wrongly suspended RCA on that ground despite we being governed by the Sports Act prevailing in the state. We are fighting against our suspension in ADJ Court as well as high court and we hope the decision from the court would allow our boys to play in domestic tournaments of BCCI," he said.
"We can't go beyond court. I feel the BCCI is confused. On one hand it is selecting our players, scorers, computer analysts and allowing us in its sub-committee meetings, sending us the balls for the domestic season and on the other hand it has excluded us from domestic calendar. We still have a month left because Rajasthan is slated to play their first BCCI domestic tournament, Vinoo Mankad Under-19 Trophy in the first week of October," he added.
He said BCCI by suspending RCA, BCCI is playing with the future of promising players of the state.
"BCCI is bound to receive a jolt and hope it realises its mistake. It is playing with the future of promising cricketers like Pankaj Singh, Ashok Menaria, Robin Bisht, Deepak Chahar and many others," Tiwari said.
"The BCCI has tried to form a committee and it met the government officials but couldn't dare to move further as they know they are going against the Sports Act prevailing in Rajasthan," he added.
