Apple’s most awaited smartphone yet, the iPhone 6, is just around the corner. Apple is ready to unveil the iPhone 6 in two new avatars—a 4.7-incher and a 5.5-incher. Alongside the iPhone 6, apple is also expected to unveil its first smartwatch, the iWatch. The date for the unveiling of the iPhone 6 is the 9th of September, and the units will be sold from the 19th of September, which is as usual with Apple—they unveil on a Tuesday and sell it a week later on Friday. However, if you are out to buy an iPhone 5s, we suggest you don’t and wait for another two weeks, at least.

The iPhone 6 will cost almost the same as an iPhone 5s today. So if you are ready spend for an iPhone 5s today, you should be able to spend the same for an iPhone 6, which is definitely superior in performance than an iPhone 5s.

The iPhone 5s is also expected to get their prices slashed. When the iPhone 6 is all ready to occupy the shelves around the world, the iPhone 5s will be sold for cheaper prices in order to exhaust their inventory and make way for the new entrants.

According to an article on Yahoo!, Jason O. Gilbert says, “Don’t buy an iPhone this weekend. It’s not a good idea. It can only end in heartbreak.” And he is damn right. He continues, “It’s not just that the iPhone 6 will be better than the iPhone 5s and upgraded with more modern technology. It’s likely, too, that the iPhone 6 will cost $200 with a two-year service agreement from your carrier, which is exactly what an iPhone 5s costs today. In other words, waiting isn’t likely to come with a cost penalty. You can pay $200 for an iPhone 5s this weekend, or you can pay $200 for an iPhone 6 in two weeks.”

Unless your smartphone is all damaged and you ‘have to’ buy yourself a new one, or you simply have enough money to just go ahead and buy that smartphone too, or you simply want to be that ‘first one’ for buy the iPhone 6 in your circle, we suggest you hold on for a while more.

So, that’s why we suggest that you don’t buy an iPhone for another few weeks. You could either end up with an iPhone 6 at the same cost, or you could save some money on buying an iPhone 5s.
