Madhya Pradesh announces Rs 5 crore assistance for flood-hit Jammu and Kashmir

‘Appeal to all citizens of MP to come forward and contribute to the relief effort in J&K’

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief MinisterShivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday announced an aid of Rs five crore to flood-ravaged Jammu and Kashmir.

"Our brothers and sisters of J&K are facing unprecedented hardships due to floods. MP pledges immediate assistance of Rs five crores for relief," the Chief Minister said in a tweet.

Chouhan also appealed to the people of Madhya Pradesh to contribute generously to help the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

"I appeal to all citizens of MP to come forward and contribute to the relief effort in J&K. As countrymen we shall stand firmly together," the Chief Minister said in another tweet.
